A knock from somewhere unknown

By Kington
There sat the team's captain with the right side of his face rested in his open right hand.

His left side open with his left eye moving restlessly around.

His left arm was being tended to by the Head medic.

Needle after needle after injection and injection and numerous IVs pumped into his arm.

Trading blood for power. Such a painfull yet high yield method. There's no resisting it when you figure it out.

All those injections and IVs are important to keep the captain alive. He would dry up if left to regenerate on his own.

Jokingly he comments to the medic that he's a drug junkie with all the needles going in. The medic retorts he's just a blood junkie.

The IV bags are switched. After 1 week of staying on watch with no sleep and fighting every few hours. It's still a wonder that he only needs 7 litres of blood. He's one tough captain.

Report of the Grey team:

We found the Captain awake among the pile of bodies. The flare he fired led us to him. There was no denying it when we saw it. He was definately going to die. He was cut all over but his complexion was such a deathly white and the bloodspill from his wounds was barely even dripping. It made no sense that he suddenly stood up and asked us where is our vehicle.

The damage he did to the surrounding terrain meant that we had to walk 5 miles back to the transport. We offered to carry him on a stretcher. He replied that he needed to stretch his legs.

------------------------------------------

The IVs are to keep the flow constant but large capacity syringes are used to pump the blood back into him as a quick entry to prevent him from dying. A total of 3.5 litres was injected back into him. Giving him a better colour. Other medics were patching his other wounds back up. It's no good to have the blood flow out from the wounds while they're still refilling him.

When questioned why he was holding his face. He said he was trying to look cool. That and he was feeling dizzy.

When he's done healing which will be in about a day due to the endless bleeding and regeneration. He will start planning the next attack.

Such is the life in the Darkhat Team working for the Black King.

Somehow we know he'll always live even if facing a 100 fierce men with only a chopstick for a spear and a leaf for a shield. Cause it's so bloody him to steal a weapon from a dead body which he made by putting the chopstick through the unfortunate man.

We can't possibly lose this Oddesy. Not with him at least.
